set up a equation... A 是 shaded area 左邊的線... (BC x CD / 2) - ( 3 x A / 2) = (A + 1) x 1 / 2 4x1/2 - 3A/2 = (A+1)/2 (4-3A)/2 = (A+1)/2 4-3A = A+1 4-1 = A+3A 3 = 4A A = 3/4 By substituting A=3/4 into (A+1)x1/2 (3/4 + 1)/2 = 3/8 + 4/8 = 7/8 cm^2
